Patricia Jean Nickell

Patricia Jean King Nickell, 88, Prairie Village, KS, passed away November 5, 2016. Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, November 12 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 8251 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 6811 Shawnee Mission Parkway, # 202, Mission, KS, 66202.
Patricia received her RN at KU Medical Center and began her nursing career there. She earned her BSN at Ottawa University and became known as “Nurse Pat” to many students and staff at Trailwood and Brookwood Elementary Schools for 24 years. In order to fill her summers, Patricia was also a nurse at Camp Towanyak.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Donald Oakley Nickell; a son, Steven Nickell; her parents, Arthur and Goldie King. She is survived by: daughters Nancy R. Pratt and Amy L. (Richard) Vincent; granddaughters, Tami Ingalls, Abbi Pratt, Devyn Vincent, Taylor Vincent and Casey Vincent; and great grandchildren Truitt Ingalls, Taryn Ingalls and MacKenzie McLaughlin.
