Patrick James (“Pat”) Ruelle, 59, Overland Park, KS, died Thursday, February 8 in Kansas City.  His wife of 33 years, Kimberly (Breding), survives.Pat is the second child and eldest son of Jim and Mary Ruelle, Minot, ND, both deceased.Also surviving are their three adult children: daughter, Micah; and sons, Colt (Kayla) and Steele, all of Kansas City; and his five siblings: Linda (Keven) Hayhurst, Grafton, WI; Carole (Rick) Sanders, New Hope, MN; Mark (Sandy), Tecumseh, KS; Jim (Sonya), Park City, UT; and Joan (Todd Ristau), Burlington, NC.  Additionally, Pat is survived by 18 nieces and nephews, four aunts, two uncles, two great aunts and hundreds of friends.Before moving to the Kansas City area in 2007, Pat and Kim lived in Des Moines, IA for 20 years, and before that, Minot, ND, where they were married and where he was born and raised on a small farm.Pat made his living as a real estate professional, including commercial and residential sales, appraisal, land development and construction.He was a voracious reader and life-long learner.  He was a committed follower and evangelist of Jesus Christ, a ministry he shared with his wife,Kim. Patrick was known for cultivating and retaining a wide circle of friends from all backgrounds.Funeral services will be 9:30am Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Grace Church, 8500 159th St., Overland Park, KS.  Reception will follow at the church immediately thereafter.
