Paul Louis Born, Sr.

Paul died June 10, 2023 in Lenexa, Kansas at the age of 79.  He had been dealing with Parkinson’s Disease for over 20 years.

Paul was born October 7, 1943 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin to Chester and Louise Born.  He grew up in Sheboygan graduating from North High School and the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh.  After college he served in the United States Army including a tour in Vietnam and became Captain.  Most of his working years were spent in the trucking industry in sales and operations.  Paul was a member of Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon.

Paul’s greatest passions included fixing just about anything, wood working and having a really challenging problem to solve, but most important was family.  Always Family!  He managed to be able to make just about every activity of his grandchildren.  One of his proudest accomplishments has been teaching his five grandchildren “how to drive”.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Barbara (Ehrlich) Born, son PJ Born (Amy) and daughter Sara Miera (Jason), and 5 grandchildren.  Abby, Molly and Henry Born, Katie Hack and Kenze Miera.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Dick, Rae Jane and Charlie.  He will always be remembered!!

There will be a family private family “Celebration of Life” held.
