Paul E. Burch IV, 45, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on September 11, 2014. He was born on October 21, 1968 to Claudia and Paul Burch III. He attended Shawnee Mission West High School and Pittsburgh State University where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He went on to become a proud firefighter/EMT and served for 18 years before retiring from Johnson County Consolidated Fire District No. 2.
Paul is survived by the great joy of his life, his son, Paul Burch V. He is also survived by his parents; his siblings, Michael (Valerie) Burch and Sherry (Kevin) Bridges and six nieces. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ann & Claude Bushey and Bonnie & Paul Burch Jr.
Paul loved the Lake of the Ozarks and was never happier than when he was fishing or boating. Paul was a kind and gentle soul, a loyal friend, a dedicated firefighter, and above all else, a loving and devoted father. He will be remembered for the joy he brought into the lives of everyone who knew him.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 11:30-1:00 with a funeral service beginning at 1PM, Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church, 9300 Nall Ave., Overland Park, Kansas 66207. Interment will be immediately following in Johnson County Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park.
