PAUL R. SAYLOR, 68, Overland Park, Kansas, died June 2, 2012, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center surrounded by his family.
He was born September 17, 1943 in Hershey, Pennsylvania the son of the late William Caulder Saylor and Ivy Britcher Saylor. He was the youngest of five siblings.
He graduated from University of Maryland with a JD in law in 1972. He married Ivelisse Arias on May 6, 1993, at a small chapel in Shawnee, KS.
Paul was an avid sailor and loved spending time with his family and friends out on the lake. He loved watching sports, and was quite the wine connoisseur.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from August 1961 to July of 1967.
He is survived by his wife, Ivelisse Arias-Saylor; son, Jeb Saylor and daughter-in-law, Jennifer and their children Grace, Casey, Reese and Olivia; a daughter, Cristina Robb and son-in-law, Joel Robb and their son, Landon; son, Iggy Romeu; his mother, Ivy Britcher Saylor; a brother, Bill Saylor; and three sisters, Pat Saylor, Bonnie Oren, and Mary Hetrick. He was predeceased by his father, William Caulder Saylor.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 6th at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66210. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m., and a Memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m., the family is also holding an open house at the Saylor residence on Saturday, June 9th at 5:00 p.m.
