Paul M. Scholl, Jr.

Paul Mathias Scholl, Jr. of Prairie Village, Kansas, passed away on October 9, 2023, at Advent Health Shawnee Mission.

Paul was born on April 21, 1945, to Paul and Bernice Scholl (Winterscheidt). He attended Wyandotte High School where he played football. He served in the Army Infantry as a chemical warfare trainer and received a National Defense Service Medal.

Paul was a devoted husband of 52 years to Mary Lee Scholl (Marrs) and father to Paul Mathias Scholl, III (Mat), Kristin Reedy (Randy), Amanda Danler and Jennifer Scholl. He was also a proud grandpa to Bailey Scholl, Mackenzie Kraft (Zach), Blake Scholl, Jackson Danler, Grace Danler, Will Danler and Hudson Winget, and a great grandpa to Liam and Quincy Kraft.

Paul is also survived by two sisters, Paula Switzer (Bob) and Patricia Fraundorfer (Bill) and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

In his early years, Paul spent his free time coaching his kids’ sports, hunting and fishing. He also loved woodworking and spent many years tending to his growing garden.

Paul will be missed dearly by his family and friends. His legacy is his dedication to his family, his great sense of humor and his excellent work ethic both to his career and his hobbies.
