Mr. Paul Watson

January 27, 1954 — March 29, 2010

Paul L. Watson, loving husband and father, passed away after a brief illness at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Paul was born on January 27, 1954 in Norwich, CT to Ernest and Mildred Watson. Paul grew up in Gales Ferry, CT. He graduated from the University of Central Connecticut and started his first job with Bechtel Power Corporation in Gaithersburg, MD. During an assignment in Kansas, he met his love Pamela Mayer-Cripps. They were married in 1986 in Homestead, FL.
Throughout the next 27 years in the utility construction industry, Paul worked in many states throughout the US. He also took assignments in Mexico and Indonesia. In 2008, Paul followed his passion to start his own management consultant company, Watson Project Management Services. Paul took great pride in his company and spent countless hours launching his business. Paul also loved real estate investing. He had been buying and rehabbing houses since 1983. He bought his first investment properties in Emporia and Topeka, KS. In 2008, Paul created Horizon Business Properties with his wife. One of Paul’s latest personal projects was renovating a cabin in Guildhall, VT that would eventually be used as a vacation home in the Green Mountains.
Paul was a man of integrity and determination. He was dedicated to his family and known for his corny jokes, direct honesty and his ability to take charge. Because of his high energy and drive, Paul preferred work rather than leisure. Although in his spare time, Paul enjoyed travel, being outdoors and playing with his three dogs.
