Pauline N. Buxton, 87, Overland Park, passed away January 5, 2008, at Garden Terrace of Overland Park.
Pauline was born on March 19, 1920, in Afton, OK, to Clarence and Etta Edwards. She married a handsome, red-headed farm boy, Wayne C. Buxton, on January 24, 1937. They had two children, Shirley Suwayne and Gary Dean. Pauline was a life-long Christian, raised in the Baptist tradition. She had a deep and abiding relationship with her Lord and Savior. Pauline's primary goal in life was to love and take care of her family. From her delicious pot roast and yeast rolls to chocolate sundaes while watching the Miss America pageant, she dedicated her life to serving those she loved. She taught us well with her example of unconditional love. We will miss her greatly.
She is survived by brothers, Jack and Jim Edwards, daughter-in-law, Lolly Buxton, grandchildren Connie Batchelder, Ron Buxton, Tony Buxton, Deb Youngdahl-Woner, and Donna Maskill, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation on will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2008 from 10-11 a.m., with funeral service following at 11 a.m. at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66210. Burial at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
