Pauline Dykman, 88, of Westwood Hill, KS passed away on September 20, 2012. A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 23 from 5-7:30 p.m. followed by a funeral service on Monday, September 24 at 10:00 a.m. Both services will be conducted at the Johnson County Memorial Gardens Chapel.
A lifelong resident of northeast Johnson County Pauline graduated as salutatorian from Shawnee Mission Rural High School. An employee of the Shawnee Mission School district, Pauline was recognized for her contribution to education as food service manager at Meadowbrook Junior High School. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church while devoting numerous volunteer hours to Metro Lutheran Ministry and Cross-Lines Community Outreach.
Pauline was preceded in death by her son, Mark Dykman, her sister, Elma Garrison and parents, Elmer and May Laird. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Leroy Dykman of the home, Sons Steve Dykman (Marjie), Westwood, KS, Gary Dykman (Patty), Overland Park and grandchildren, Molly Dykman, Sara Dykman, Ben (Nicole) Dykman, and Bryan Dykman.
