Pearl Ruth Plummer, 92, loving wife, mother and grandmother died on Monday, April 7, 2014.
Born on December 26, 1921, Ruth lived in Kansas City most of her life. Ruth and her husband, Leonard, lived at Lake Quivira, Kansas for 25 years where she was a member of the Quivira Garden Club, served on the Lake Quivira Board of Directors and was President of the Women's Golf Association. Ruth was committed to her community volunteering for Girl Scouts, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Job Corps and Deana Rose as a Master Gardner. She was Queen of the Kansas City Home Show in 1952, modeled for local department stores and was a licensed insurance agent.
Ruth was preceded in death by daughter, Elizabeth Ruth.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard; daughters, Connie Downing, Amber Scott and Sarah Plummer Erekson; grandchildren, Kathy Grant, Dalton Grant, Aaron Scott, Susan Barnes, Cameron and Mackenzie Wilson; and two great grandchildren, Lucy Wilson and Guthrie Barnes.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm April 10, 2014, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 7740 Lackman Road, Lenexa, Kansas.
