Mrs. Pearlie Pierce

Pearlie Peterson Pierce of Olathe, Kan., passed away peacefully at home, Friday, November 16, 2007.

Pearlie was born Feb. 14, 1931, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Leslie M. and Mabel (Bagley) Jones. She was united in marriage to George P. Peterson on June 11, 1949, who preceded her in death. Following her career as an Advertising Manager she retired from Sun Publications.

On July 22, 1995, she was married to Harold F. Pierce who survives her along with and her children, G.P. "Bud" Peterson, Jr., Gary E. Peterson, and Janice L. Stout; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Dolores Knoell, Alma Noble, and Donice Smith.

Visitation for family and friends will be held 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 19, at the D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, Kan. Memorial services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at D. W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel. Following the services, burial will be in the Johnson County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be sent to the Old Mission Masonic Lodge #153, 5201 West 75th Street, Prairie Village, KS 66208.
