PEGGY ELLEN CAGE, 73, Overland Park, KS passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 2, 2013.

She was born September 20, 1939 in Denver, Colorado the daughter of Carl and Virgie Cage.

Peggy retired from the Kansas City Star where she was Senior Coordinator of the Obituary Department.

She was a proud mother of four, Karen, Sheri, Debi and David. She enjoyed writing poetry, music and watching clasic television programs. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Carlie Hall; a daughter, Karen Williams; two grandchildren, Julie Snow and Andrea Williams; a great-grandson, Kolby Christopher; a son-in-law, Jac Chesson; and a sister-in-law, Jackie Cage.

Survivors include her children, Sheri (Bret) Lambky, Debi Chesson, David (Kay) Williams; 9 grandchildren, Melissa, Danielle, Alicia, Jolene, Jonathan, Allison, Samantha, Matthew, and Camryn; 4 great-grandchildren, Jayleigh, Kylie, Dylan and Colton; three brothers, Carl (Mary Lee) Cage, Ralph Cage, David (Bonnie) Cage; three sisters, Ilene (Wayne) Allen, Dolly (Mike) Studards and Norine Christian; and many nieces; nephews and cousins.

Ms. Cage has willed her body to the University of Kansas Medical Center, Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66212.
