Peggy Jean Myers, 81, Shawnee, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at The Sweet Life of Rosehill.
Peggy was born October 13, 1925, in Kansas City, Mo. She began her career as switchboard operator at Panhandle Eastern Pipeline. From there, she chose to raise a family and worked as a teachers aide in Shawnee Mission School District. She later retired from Sears & Roebuck. She enjoyed square dancing, round dancing with her husband, Everett, and together they queued for many square dancing clubs. They also enjoyed golf, traveling in their RV and spending winters in Mesa, Arizona.
Peggy is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Everett. Survivors include her sons Rick and his wife Sherry Myers of St. Charles, Mo., and Steve and his wife Lori Myers of Olathe, Kan., and her beloved grand daughters Shannon, Kaitlin, and Kelly Myers. One brother, Russ Wilson and his wife Frannie also survive her.
Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Friday, June 29, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to services at the chapel.
