Perry Trammell

Perry C. Trammell, age 88, of Gardner, KS passed away on May 9, 2012. He was born on January 29, 1924 in Harrison, AK, the son of Mary Hattie (Cole) and William Clarence Trammell. As a son of a minister and evangelist, Perry lived most of his life in Olathe, KS before moving to Gardner with his daughter and family. Perry married Loretta J. Linson on December 15, 1943; she preceded him in death on June 3, 2011. Perry served in the United States Air Force in WWII. He retired from King Radio, after working with the Railroad & Hyer Boot Company, both of Olathe. Perry attended the First Assembly of God in Olathe and New Life Community Church of Gardner, KS. His father, William Clarence Trammell helped start the Church of God Prophecy in Olathe.

Survivors include his son, Larry (Connie) Trammell of Olathe, KS; daughter, Faith ( Tony) Sterling of Gardner, KS; five grandchildren, Sean, Bret and Brent Trammell, Charity and Joel Sterling; four great grandchildren, Austin, Lauren, Gabriella, Nicholas Trammell all of Olathe. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 12, 2012 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Olathe, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Assembly of God Church, 27772 W. 135th St, Olathe, KS 66061.
