Peter “Pete” Russell Siefert, age 76, of Overland Park, KS, passed away on January 7, 2015. Pete was born on March 21, 1938 in Kansas City, MO to Dorothy and Russell Siefert.
After graduating from Southwest High School in 1956, Pete went on to attend the University of Colorado. He was passionate about his career as a stock trader. His hobbies included tennis and golf and he was a member of the Country Club of Leawood, where one of his greatest accomplishments was a hole in one on the 17th hole.
Pete was a true people person who loved to make everyone laugh. He lived life to the fullest and his best times were spent with family and friends. He had a way of making people feel special. He was dearly loved.
Pete is survived by his wife Judy Siefert, Michael (Michelle) Siefert, David (Kathy) Dowell, Paul (Katie) Dowell, and John (Heather) Dowell. Grandchildren; Oliva, Ryan, Quinn and Dineen Dowell. As well as his sister Jane who resides in Colorado.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 pm on Monday, January 12, 2015 at the Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS. The family suggests contributions, in lieu of flowers, to the Great Plains SPCA, KC Zoo or Olive’s Hope in Louisburg.
