Ralph G. Baker, 66, Kansas City, Kansas passed away May 4, 2010. A visitation will be held from 4-6 P.M., Friday, May 7, 2010 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park. Memories will be shared beginning at 5:15 P.M. Interment will take place in Leavenworth National Cemetery.
Ralph was born February 10, 1944 in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Shawnee Mission North High School. He then served in the Marine Corps and received 1st award for Good Conduct Medal and the Rifle Markmanship Badge. He worked for Max Rieke & Brothers, Inc. for more than 10 years. Ralph had a love for motorcycles and his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; siblings, John Baker, June VanMeerhaeghe, and Elizabeth Hanna.
Survivors include his children, Josh Baker, Jimmie Crawford, Mickie Crawford, Susie Folkert, and Marlo Kroesen; sister, Dorothy Smith; his wonderful grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
