A Loving, Giving Man
On Saturday, April 3, 2021, Ralph LeRoy (Roy) Nafziger III, loving husband and father of three sons, passed away at the age 77. Roy was born on October 1, 1943 in Kansas City, MO to Ralph and Marilynn Nafziger. He graduated from Shawnee Mission North with his future wife, Connie Carver. He attended Kansas State University. Roy enjoyed coaching his sons in several sports. He was a campmaster for many years at H Roe Bartle Scout Reservation, helping all three sons attain the rank of Eagle Scout. With his loving, giving heart, Roy helped anyone in need. He was a mentor for many young businessmen and a supporter of the American Royal Student Ambassador program. A member of the Saddle and Sirloin Club, Roy enjoyed trap shooting and competing with fellow members. He was the president of a successful family business for 20 years before retiring to Georgetown, Texas. Roy is survived by his wife, Connie; his three sons Gary (Bev) Nafziger, Cary (Rose) Nafziger and Chris (Rita) Nafziger; four grandchildren Jared, Joe, Nadirah and Hailey Nafziger and his sister, Beverly Stoiano. Visitation will be held on Thursday April 15, 2021 at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Avenue at 9:00 am. Funeral Services at 10:00am. We welcome you to leave fond memories and condolences for the family on the Tribute Wall above.
