Ray E. Gann, 89, Overland Park, Kansas passed away on Thursday April 7, 2016. Ray was born July 29, 1926 in Gentry, Arkansas to Harvey Edward Gann and Susan Zemma (Barnwell) Gann and was one of six children born to this union. He came to Kansas City, Missouri with his family in 1934 and graduated from Central High School. He was in the US Army during the Korean War. In the 1950’s he moved to Overland Park, KS and worked in the HVAC business for Hager Refrigeration. In the 1970’s he worked for Pinebrooke Condominiums as AC repair. In the 1980’s started a property management company and retired in 1999. He was a member of the Overland Park Church of the Nazarene where he was on the church board and sang in the choir for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Susan Gann, his wife, Helen Pauline Gann; Siblings: Cletha Maher, Carl Gann, Faye Roney, and Bill Gann. He is survived by his two sons: James R. Gann and Alan W. Gann and his wife, Joy D.; and a sister Ruth Goldsberry. A visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00am Tuesday at the Overland Park Church of the Nazarene. A funeral service will follow at 11:00am. Burial will be beside his wife, Helen Pauline Gann, at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
