RAYMOND J. MCGUIRE, 88, Leawood, KS passed away Monday, April 29, 2013 at Village Shalom.
Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Cure of Ars Catholic Church, 9403 Mission Rd Leawood, KS 66206. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to KU Endowment, Fund #39902, 3901 Rainbow, Mail Stop 301, Attn: Christine, KC, KS 66160.
He graduated from Rockhurst High School and The University of Central Missouri in1950. He was a life-long Kansas City resident who had an extensive career in Real Estate, Home Building and Mortgage Finance with McCue - McGuire Builders & McGuire Mortgage Company. In 2001, he received a life-time achievement award from the Mortgage Bankers Association of Kansas City. Througout his career, he epitomized the ideals of honesty, integrity, and professionalism. He will be remembered for his tremendous work ethic and contagious good humor.
Survivors include his wife, Helen McGuire; a daughter, Patricia Fisher; two sons, Jim McGuire and John (Liz) McGuire; a sister, Margaret Mary Denison; five grandchildren, Paige Fisher, Grant Fisher, Liam McGuire, Rachel McGuire and Maggie McGuire.
