Rebecca Olson

Rebecca Olson, 38, wonderful wife, loving mother, and amazing friend passed away on February 28, just after midnight, after a hard-fought battle against cancer.

Rebecca was born May 6th, 1983 in Merriam, Kansas. Rebecca was survived by her Husband of 9 years, Tyler Olson; two children Avery Olson(5) and Tristan Gillespie(17); sibling Asher Zigeler; Mother and Father Ronald and Kathy Zigeler; and many other loving relatives and friends.

Rebecca started swimming at an early age. She swam for the KC Blazers, Brook Ridge Country Club and for Blue Valley North High School where she was also on the debate team.   She received credits from the University of Kansas and was an Honor Roll graduate of JCCC with an Associates of Arts degree in Paralegal Studies.

She was a lover of art, in all aspects, creating her own beautiful prints, paintings, and crochet items. Her mind always finding new ways to create art that was expressive of her personality. A beauty and a soul radiating empathy, she was truly a kind person and you would be lucky to find anyone more caring and compassionate then her. She will be overwhelmingly missed by all who had the pleasure to call her friend or family.
