She began her working career in the family business Magic Steam Laundry. Her first priority in life was her two sons, artistic & creative Michael and brilliant Jonathan. Never was there a more proud mom. Beck often said "I love my life!". She was a loyal, loving & witty friend to "all the usual suspects" as she called her friends. Her real career began when Rev. Terry Anderson gave her a job at First United Methodist Church Clovis, NM in 1994. Her position was Director of Religious education, it sparked in Becky a love of finding inspiring ways to bring the word of God to people. She set up programs from pre-K to adult with a special love for adult singles ministry.
Becky received an Associates in Psychology from Eastern New Mexico University and a Bachelors of Science in Organization in Leadership from National American University where she later served on the board. Becky was always seeking greater education and greater walk with God through numerous books, conferences, workshops and seminars under such great leaders as Rev. Rick Hurst, Terry Hershey & Jonathan Sprinkles; where she always left their friend. She was an unassuming master of the English language and reviewed books for National Adult Christian Singles. She worked for St. Paul United Methodist Church in Amarillo, Tx. before being hired as Conference coordinator for Kansas South Eastern Conference of the United Methodist Church. There she traveled throughout the conference speaking, training and helping churches set up plans to grow. Becky took a break from working in the church to become a life coach and Home Consultant for Furniture Mall of Kansas. At the time of her passing she was working US Bank. In Becky's spare time she traveled and competed in disc golf. She loved watching movies with her boys and was a closet Siskel and Ebert. She was loved more than she knew and will be greatly missed.
