Rex Gaylord Miller, 87, Prairie Village, Kansas passed away June 5, 2015. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, Kansas 66210. A visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, also at the chapel. Interment will follow in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Rex was born in Fredonia, Kansas in 1927. His career path included 25 years with Wonder Bread and he retired in 1985 as Sanitation Department Head. He then was employed by the Jones Store for 13 years in the Distribution Center.
Rex had a beautiful voice, singing solos and in ensembles in several churches and other functions.
He is survived by his wife, Tina; four children, Regina Avery, Dana P. Miller, Miles D. (Linda) Miller and Leah K. Miller; four grandchildren, Lindsay, Heather, Dustin and Nicholas; and three great grandchildren, Kenadi, Lacey Jane and Caleb.
