Richard B. Hammond, Sr, age 98, of Overland Park, KS passed away July 11, 2011. Born on December 2, 1912 in Wichita, Ks, the son of Esther (Holmes) and Roscoe Hammond, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret.
Survivors include his sons, Richard B. Hammond, Jr of Louisburg, Ks, and Kip Henry Hammond of Scottsdale, Az and their wives, grandchildren, Christie Barney of Louisburg, Ks and Benjamin L. Hammond of Ft Worth, Tx, and their spouses and great grandchildren.
Richard was the original owner and President of Zephyr Awning Co and later, President of Fashion Inc, and Ram Corp. He loved his family. He also enjoyed the outdoors, fly-fishing and game bird hunting. He will be missed by all who knew him.
