Richard E. Beytien, 71, of Overland Park, KS, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2014.
He was born on August 9, 1942 to John and Carmen Beytien in Northfield, MN. He grew up and attended schools in Fairbault, MN.
He married Glenna Jones in 1980, they made their home in Overland Park.
Richard started working in publishing in 1965. In 1989 he started his own publishing company Benchmark publications that specialized in military yellowpages directory.
He enjoyed boating and model planes.
Richard was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and in recent years the First Baptist Church in DeSoto, KS.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Glenna Beytien; two sons, Bradley James Beytien and Craig Steven (Allyson) Beytien; three daughters, Ann Marie (Ken) Bunny, Theresa Marie (Mark) Jones and Lori Ellen Rice; ten grandchildren and two dogs.
In lieu of flowers family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Association.
