Richard Everett Moody of Olathe, Kansas, passed away May 16, 2009. Richard was the youngest of 10 children.
Richard married Georgia May Shields on May 8th, 1948 in Olathe. They had one son, Phillip Wayne. He worked for Brun Construction for over 40 years and Roeland Park Street Department for a short time.
Everett was preceded in death his parents, George A. and Retta J. (Gray) Moody; his wife, Georgia, his son, ans 8 siblings (Clifford, Herbert, Harvey, Pearl, Mary, Mae, Ted, Napoleon, Rosie) He is survived by a sister, Pearl, 4 grandchildren, Dawn Cochran of Eudora, Brock Moody of Garnett, Phillip Moody Jr. of Colony, and Antoinette Moody of Ottawa; 7 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 02, 2009 at D. W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 12000 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Visitation, prior to service, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the chapel. Interment will be at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Olathe, Kansas.
