Richard Todd, Jr.

Richard I. Todd, Jr. 66, Kansas City, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly Monday, October 25, 2021 at Advent Health Hospital.

Richard was born in Kansas City, Kansas to Richard I. Todd, Sr. and Juanita Todd. He lived most of his life in Kansas City, Kansas graduating from Turner High school.   He worked for Gill Studios Inc. for the past 38 years.

He was a member of Antioch Church and the Painter’s Union #820.

Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Todd; sister, Tammy Todd Klinkenberg, and his father-in-law, Richard S. Craig.   He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary Todd; five children:  Richard I. Todd, III(Amber), Steven Edward Todd (Lindsay), Molly Flinn (Justin), Shelby Garcia (Giovanni) and Vanessa Kline (Brandon); his father, Richard I. Todd, Sr., three  siblings:  Wayne Todd (Marcie), Debbie Oswald (Roger) and Emma Thayer (Bill); 15 grandchildren:  Braxton Todd, Courtland Todd, River Todd, Jocelyn Todd, Quinn Todd, Mavis Todd, Gideon Todd, Lucille Juanita Todd who will be here in February 2022, Justin Flinn, Jr., Waylon Flinn, Adalynn Garcia, Keagan Garcia, Tyler Kline, Marissa Kline, and Tessa Kline; and many other family members including nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and many friends.  Richard loved to listen to music and could tell you the name of almost any song.  He loved monster movies and watching them with his children and grandchildren.  He was the best husband Mary could ask for, a fun and loving dad, the favorite uncle, best brother, best grandpa ever and a crazy friend.  His sense of humor and kind spirit will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be 2-3pm Thursday, October 28th followed by a 3pm service to celebrate Richard’s life at Antioch Church, 5201 Antioch, Overland Park, KS.
