Robert "Bob" Rasmussen
September 19, 1924 — April 8, 2009
Robert M. "Bob" Rasmussen, 84, Leawood, KS, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2009.
Visitation will be 10-11 AM, Saturday, April 11th at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf. Celebration of Life will follow at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Bethany Lutheran Church or the Salvation Army.
Bob loved God, his country, his wife, Jeanette, his daughter, Rita and his son-in-law, Carl Rubick. He was a WWII veteran who bravely fought in the Battle of the Bulge. Bob started Rasmussen Building Company and was a successful home builder in Johnson County for more than forty years. Bob was a man of integrity, creativity and compassion, who had a wonderful sense of humor. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten by his family and many friends.
