Mr. Robert Boyce

Robert A. Boyce, age 67, Kansas City, MO passed away the Wednesday, August 8th, 2007 at his home.
Robert was born July 25th, 1940 in Detroit, MI to Anton and Dorothy Goodson. He attended Cooley High School then graduated from the University of Detroit with a B.S. in Finance. He also attended graduate school at the University of Michigan but left early for an employment opportunity. He excelled in football and hockey and was honored to play on the 1960 Team USA and Olympic Hockey Squads. He was first married to Katherine Elliot then later to Shawn Sheehy. A consummate entrepreneur, he owned and operated several businesses including Fox Deluxe Foods, Boyce Brokerage, and, most notably, Walker?s Food Products Company which he purchased in 1982. For a time he served as President of National Frozen Foods Association and was also named the National Republican Congressional Committee?s Businessman of the Year in 2003.
He was preceded in death by his parents and he is survived by his brother and sister, William Boyce and Katherine Economy, and his sons, Craig and Kyle Boyce.
Memorial services will be held at 11200 Metcalf Ave. Overland Park, KS on Wednesday, August 15th.
