Robert Thomas Bruce, 64, passed away March 26, 2017. He was born on June 25, 1952 in Memphis, Tennessee. He lost his mother to MS and his family moved to Kansas City, MO.
Robert is loved by many- his family, friends, and his church family. Robert has served his church since the early 70’s- he later became an Elder and then Minister.
Robert has worked in the automotive career from 1978 to present. He has been very dedicated to his work and helping problem solving.
Robert has fought cancer for 20 years. He went into remission after 10 years, then in March of 2014 he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. He has fought a tough battle and now can rest without pain.
Robert leaves behind his wife, Phyllis; step-son, Mike; granddaughter Mike’e; son, Coney and his wife Becky; his dad, Harold and wife Jean; his brothers, James, Harold, Daniel (Sandy); his sister, Beth (Scott); and several nieces and nephews.
Robert will be greatly missed.
A graveside service will take place at 10AM on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens, 23215 W 75th St, Shawnee, KS 66227.
