ROBERT CONNELL
Robert Connell, 90, of Olathe, KS, passed away January 2, 2011. Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 12, at the Church of the Ascension, 9510 W 127th Street, Overland Park, Kansas.
Robert's family and the quest for knowledge was everything to him. He was admitted and graduated from The University of California, Berkley because of his zeal for further education. He was a voracious reader and was self-taught on many subjects. He loved studying stars and planets. He was especially was proud that we made it to the moon first.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, and their oldest daughter Kathleen "Katie" Connell. Robert is survived by Priscilla "Gene" Wall and her husband Craig; daughter Robin Connell; daughter Deborah Connell-Cruse and her husband Robert, Robin Connell and life partner Mary Catherine Casey. Additional survivors include his grandchildren Katherine Wall Boss, Margaret Wall, Matthew Connell and nieces Linda Cook and Bonnie Beltran. The family will remember Robert by his favorite scripture, "He loved justice and he walked humbly with his God." Micah 6:8.
