Hagans and Velma Morris Hagans in Augusta, KS. He attended public school in Marion, KS, graduating from Marion High School in 1944. In Bob's own words, he considered himself a very lucky man. He was lucky to have a wonderful family, lucky to have a career he loved, lucky because he believed in the basic principles of integrity, dedication to duty (be it company or country), hard work, time for play, and staying with a project or idea until it was won. His family would add that he was lucky to spend so much of his life on a golf course. Bob enriched many lives with his skills and generosity.
Bob is survived by his wife of 19 years, Marcia; his daughters Robin Maupin (Charles, deceased) and Karen Reyes (Joe), his sister, Jean Case (Alex, deceased), Marcia's children, Cathy Holefelder (Mark) and Marc Naughton (Janise), four grandchildren (Dustin Steppe (Jessica) and Kyle Steppe (Kristen), Nicole and Cody Maupin, three step-granchildren Jeff Naughton (Dana), Jennifer and Kristen Naughton, two nieces and a nephew.
