Robert L. Marvin, 78, passed away at home January 12, 2007.
Bob was born January 24, 1928 in Gary, Indiana. He attended Shawnee Mission High School. He served in the Navy and was a WWII veteran. Bob retired from Universal Supply Inc. where he worked for over 40 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #370.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Alice; son, Robert L. Marvin, JR. and Lacy Newberry; daughter, Lynne R. Borders and husband, Scott; 3 grandchildren, Jenny Houser and husband, Joel, Melissa Steuber, and Zachary Marvin and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, Jan.17 at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf. Visitation will be one hour prior. Burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Kansas City Hospice, 9221 Ward Parkway, Suite 100, KCMO 64114 or to American Cancer Society, 6700 Antioch, Suite 100, Merriam, KS 66204.
