Bob Maynard, age 93, of Overland Park, KS passed away on January 28, 2013. Visitation will be held Friday, February 1, 2013, from 5 to 7 pm, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS. Services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at 10 am also at the Johnson County Chapel. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to TLC for Children and Families or Relay for Life of Kansas City, MO (American Cancer Society).
Bob was born August 21, 1919 in Galesburg, IL. He graduated from Paseo High School. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of WWII and recipient of the Purple Heart. Bob worked as an Office Furniture Representative. He was a member of the Asbury Methodist Church, Brookridge CC, and supporter of TLC for Children and Families.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Margie D. Maynard. Survivors include Rob Maynard, Judy Maynard, Christa Sifrit, Amie Walter, and Nikki Walter.
