Joined the Lord in Heaven October 17, 2009. He was born in Medford, WI, July 5,1923. He was a Navy pilot during WW II and later a meteorologist with American Airlines. He was district manager for Phillips Petroleum in Kansas City and president of the Kansas City Oilmen’s Club. He left Phillips in 1972 to start his own business, United Company, owning several gas stations and distributing wholesale petroleum. He was an avid golfer, devoted church worker and leader in the Stephen Ministry.
A devoted husband, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Virginia. He is survived by his daughter Marti Lee and her family, Jeff, Kristin and Adam; and son Larry Mueller and his family Jane, Natalie, and Hunter, who will remember him as a strong and caring friend.
Visitation will be held at 1:30 p.m. October 21 at Bethany Lutheran Church 9101 Lamar Overland Park, KS, 66207 with memorial services following at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO 64145 would be very beneficial and greatly appreciated.
