Robert Mullin

October 3, 1970 — November 28, 2016

Robert James Mullin, 46, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2016 surrounded by family and friends after courageously battling brain cancer for 13 years, 10 months and 20 days. He was born October 3, 1970 in Kansas City, MO and graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in political science. Rob married Gail Lynn (Weate) on August 20, 1994 in Richmond, MO.
Rob was a proud Jayhawk and in particular loved KU basketball! He coached soccer for his kids, enjoyed daily walks with his dogs Chewie and Bailie and loved movies (especially Star Wars,) his family and friends. He also had a fondness for the band U2 and, in particular, its lead singer Bono – not just for his musical genius, but his humanitarian work. Rob, no doubt was a great judge of character for upon learning of his illness, Bono took time to handwrite and mail a three page letter to Rob and Gail in the last weeks of his life.
