Robert L. (Bob) Overstreet died in Christ on Monday, June 9th, 2008.
He was born August 8, 1942 in Enid, Oklahoma to Ira B. and Orlinda K. Overstreet. He graduated from Ringwood High School and Enid Business College. He was an Accounting Supervisor for Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville, OK for 26 years before leaving on medical disability.
Mr. Overstreet?s survivors are his wife of 47 years, Carolyn Sue (Sodowsky) of the home; 2 children, a daughter Carol Knopick and husband Dave of Overland Park, KS, and a son Robert of Huntsville, AL; 2 grandchildren, Monica Knopick and fianc?e Scott Klein of Fort Collins, CO, and Brian Knopick of Overland Park, KS; 2 sisters, Linda Riley and husband Daryl, and Phyliss Morris, both of Oklahoma City, OK; 2 brothers, Leroy Overstreet and wife Jenetta of Enid, OK, and Melvin Overstreet of Grove, OK; mother-in-law Nancy E. Sodowsky of Ringwood, OK; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Mr. Overstreet will be held on Friday, June 13th at Bethany Lutheran Church, 9101 Lamar Ave in Overland Park, KS at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Pastor Ed Trost will be officiating. Cremation, private inurnment will be in Enid, Oklahoma at a later date.
