Robert O. Perry, age 84, of Overland Park passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2012. He was born on December 28, 1927 in Plains, KS, the son of Maude (Ragland) and John Perry. He graduated from High School in Belton, MO in 1944. After serving in the Navy during World War II he attended the University of Kansas and received a degree in Education in 1952. In 1960 Bob began working for the Upjohn Pharmaceutical Company. He worked for the Upjohn Company for 30 years, the last 18 as a Regional Sales Manager.
In July of 1954 he married Kathleen Y. Cortner of Osawatomie, KS. They were married for 43 years prior to Kathleen's passing in April 1998. Bob and Kathleen enjoyed traveling. Many happy memories were made during family camping trips all over the country. The family traveled to over 33 states and visited almost every major National Park. Kathleen and Bob continued to travel after their children were grown, across the country and to Europe.
Survivors include Bob's son, Kevin T. Perry; daughters, Rebecca L. Specht and Roxanne E. Danielson; 7 wonderful grandchildren, Blake Perry, Kirsten Perry, Kaitlyn Perry, Ryan Specht, Adam Specht, Jacquelyn Keller and Joseph Danielson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen; his parents; three sisters, Conita, Rosalie and Jane and two brothers, John and James.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:30 AM, Saturday, September 8, 2012 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66210. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM, at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
