Robert Ray Ramey

Robert Ray Ramey, 76, Raymore, Mo, born August 25, 1946 in St Joseph, Mo passed away peacefully at his home after a brief battle with cancer on July 21, 2023.

He attended Baker University where he met his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Linda McKinley.  Following college, he served in the Army National Guard where he was called to serve in Vietnam and subsequently pursued his career in the banking industry.  He began his career at Mission Bank then retired from Bank of America to his favorite “job” as Papa .  He married the love of his life Linda McKinley in October 1968 in Leawood, KS, and they brought their extremely loved son Jason into the world in July 1974 and they remained in the Kansas City area.

He was a loyal and devoted partner, he loved travelling (cruising was a favorite), fishing (especially his many trips to Colorado), and his family and friends.  He had an amazing sense of humor and you knew that you were cared for if you found yourself on the receiving end of his orneriness. 

He was proceeded in death by his parents Arthur and Hermie Ramey, he is survived by his loving wife Linda Ramey, his son Jason, daughter-in-law Sherri, 2 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson (with one on the way)
