Mr. Robert Ross

Robert L. Ross, 89, formerly of Little Falls, NJ died Friday, April 23, 2010 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Leawood, KS. Bob was born July 2, 1920 in Paterson, NJ. He married the late Helen Lederer in 1944. They moved many times but had lived for 52 years in Little Falls.
Bob was in the Army during WWII for 5 years. He resumed his career with Exxon and continued his work with them for 42 successful years. After retirement, he was an active member of REMOJ, serving as treasurer for 17 years.
Bob is predeceased by his parents, Donald and Lillian Ross, and his wife Helen. He is survived by his brother William of Florida, two daughters, Nancy Canfield and her husband Richard of Cedar Grove, NJ, and Patricia Conover and her husband Barry of Leawood, KS, six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to all who knew him. He lived a good long life and positively influenced those around him.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sunrise of Leawood, 11661 Granada Lane, Leawood, KS, 66211. The Activities and Volunteers Department will benefit.
Funeral services were private. Arrangements were made by D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS, 66210.
