Robert Charles ?Bob? Sheely passed away Saturday June 9, 2007. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Saturday June 16th at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Chapel 11200 Metcalf Overland Park, KS. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Salvation Army.
Bob was born April 20, 1925 in Falls City, NE to Harry and Doris Sheely. During World War II, Bob served his country as a Quartermaster in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Boston. He was a member of VFW Post 5289 in Pawnee City, NE. After the war, Mr. Sheely graduated from the University of Nebraska. He worked as an accountant for several pipeline companies, retiring in 1981 as Director of Accounting for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Co.
His father and his grandson Steven Parmley precede him in death. His wife of 60 years, Joyce, children Janet (Phil) Shuey and Michael Sheely, grandson Reid Parmley, his mother Doris and sister Colleen (Bob) Niss survive him.
