Bob was born December 24th, 1932 in Trousdale, KS, and enjoyed spending summers growing up with his Grandma Penny.  In 1953, he joined the United States Army and served in the Korean War for several years before being honorably discharged and returning home to the love of his life, Clara Dreher.  Bob and Clara were married on May 22nd, 1955 at the Dreher Family Farm in Vermillion, KS and enjoyed 61 wonderful years of wedded bliss, full of family, laughter, love, and happiness.  Bob worked tirelessly as a Data Processing Manager at JC Penney for 31 years before retiring in 1995.

Greg and Stacye have fond memories of their Dad imparting his vast handyman knowledge while working together on many home improvement projects.  Greg remarked that Bob was not only a great father, but also a best friend.  In retirement, Bob and Clara spent many winters enjoying the warmth and beauty of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico while visiting Mark and Stayce.  Bob’s grandchildren affectionately recall many summer walks to Topsy’s for bubblegum ice cream, and the entertaining twist he always brought to card games.  Bob adored his seven beautiful great granddaughters and had a special relationship with each.  The girls will forever remember their Great “Gramps”.  Bob’s family counts themselves lucky to have had such an extraordinary man in their lives.
