Robert Royal Wiedersberg was born September 2, 1925, in Chicago Ill. He passed away January 5, 2008.
He served in the U.S. Army in WWII in the Pacific Theater and the occupation of Japan. He graduated from IIT as a Mechanical Engineer and married his wife Mary Josephine April 29, 1950. As a couple they adopted four children, Victor J, Everett Ray, Robert Jr., and their sister Elise Marie. He owned Kansas City Equipment Company and raised his family in KCMO. He is a member of First Lutheran Church. He was a golf enthusiast; if not playing he would be found watching it on TV.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; and his son, Everett; and daughter, Elise Tipton of Washington state. Victor and Bob Jr. were lost to us earlier and his ashes will be joined with theirs at the KC Vietnam Veterans Memorial at 43rd and Broadway KCMO at 2 p.m. on Jan. 9. All are welcome to attend. He has 12 grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren. His death is preceded by his brother, James Wiedersberg; and sister, Ruth Hobby.
