Robert Arthur Williams (Rob), age 52, of Gardner KS, left this world on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, leaving behind many fond memories for his family and friends.
Rob is survived by his mother, Anna Williams, of Overland Park, KS. He is also survived by many lifelong friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Gary Williams and his brother, Andrew Williams.
Rob graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School in 1989 and then went on to graduate from Automotive Technical Institute in Houston to enter a career in the commercial truck tire industry.
Rob worked in the automotive and commercial tire business his entire career. He could often recite part numbers and tire sizes by memory. If you needed tires or help with your car, Rob was your guy.
He was also a very dear friend to many. He never met a stranger, was always available to assist a friend with absolutely anything. Even if you just need a shoulder to lean on or a confidant. He was always up for having an adult beverage or more with friends in the “garage”.
Rob enjoyed so many things. Among those things, he was an avid photographer, shooting sports enthusiast, cutting trees at the farm, hanging out in the garage with his friends. Rob also enjoyed good food, he loved grilling and smoking foods where he was typically found on the weekends. Rob was quite proud of all his smoking recipes and strived to be the best. He also made the very best Gruyere cheese fondue ever. Above all he cherished his family, friends, and his church.
A tremendous thank you goes out to the doctors and nursing team at Advent Health Shawnee Mission, who provided the very best care for Rob during his heart surgery.
We so wanted him to stay, but God had other plans for him.
Rob’s faith was very strong and he knew that he would be joining his Brother and Father in Heaven with Jesus.
Rob and his unique personality with all it’s quirks will be missed by all.
He was a One Of A Kind that will live on in our hearts forever.
We Love You Rob
