Roberta Mae Seymour Beckett, age 83, of Overland Park, KS passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2012. She was born on April 4, 1928 in Kansas City, KS, the daughter of Charles T. & Mabel [Parnham] Stapleton.
Survivors include her brother: Charles P. Stapleton (Patricia) of Kansas City, KS; 2 children: Tom (Sherri) Seymour of Arlington, TX & Debi Spiller of Olathe, KS; 3 step-children: Carla [Beckett] (Jim) Hall of Peoria, IL; Marsha [Beckett] (Dwayne) Enloe of Liberty, MO; & Lizabeth [Beckett] (Chris) Ballard of Haviland KS; 2 grandchildren: Ben Stoffer & Angela Keeton; 6 step-grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 7 step-great grandchildren & 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Robert C. Seymour and her second husband, Carl L. Beckett, & her 2 sisters, who died in infancy.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 17, 2012 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Burial will be held in the Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Billy Graham Evangelistic Assn., 1 Billy Graham Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28201-0001.
