Roberta Sue Holt Ross Bloch, 74, of Raymore, MO passed away April 22, 2016 at Research Medical Center surrounded by her family.  Bobbie Sue was born April 20, 1942 to Vester Lee “Ned” and Josephine Lombard (Anderson) Holt in Kansas City, MO.  She was named after her Uncle Robert Adair Anderson who died on the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor.   She graduated from Southeast High School in 1960 and was lifelong friends with all her classmates. Growing up Bobbie Sue was a dancer and performed at Starlight Theatre and studied dance in Chicago after her graduation.  She married Joseph Alexander Ross on October 6, 1962.  Their greatest accomplishments were their children, Kimberly Louise Ross Tillotson (Robert), Elizabeth Marie Ross Searfoss (Kurt), and Joseph Neal Ross.  They divorced in 1980.  She married James Donald Bloch on April 23, 1983.  She worked at Westport Bank, Leif Brothers, IRS, 27th Street Pharmacy, 7-11 and she retired in 2007 from Blue Valley School District food service.  She spent time organizing her class reunions, bowling, ceramics, making her famous meatballs, and spending time with her family.   Bobbie Sue spent her birthdays in Las Vegas playing Bingo with her daughters.  She knew no strangers, and if you met her, you had a friend for life. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Joey, brother Joseph Holt, sisters Betty Durbin, Patti Hooper and stepson Bill Bloch. She is survived by her husband, her daughters, sister Mary Jo Simon (Allan), half-brother Robert Holt (Betty), grandchildren, Rachel and Emily Tillotson, Madeline and Ross Searfoss, Alexander Ross, many nieces and nephews, stepchildren Steve Bloch (Andrea), Diane Chambers (Gary), Dena Mackert, step daughter in-law Carol Bloch Winter, step grandchildren, Judy, Sarah, Erin, Lauren, Damian, and step great grandchildren. The family invites you to celebrate Bobbie Sue’s life Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 1-3 p.m. at Yellow Rock Barn, 8307 Westridge Rd, Raytown, MO 64138. The family requests no flowers for the Celebration.
