Robert J. (Bobby) Marchi went home to be with the Lord Wednesday August 26th, at 3:05AM.
Bobby was born March 19, 1966. He attended Olathe High School and graduated in 1984. Bobby was constantly teasing his sister, Lisa, and cousins, Jacob and Trisha Hurley. He loved to prank his friends, too.
Bobby enjoyed life to its fullest and brought joy to many people.
Bobby moved to California in the early 90’s to pursue his passion for a music career performing with several bands. He even opened for national recording star, Eddie Money. However, his most favorite was playing with the band, “Family Tradition,” with included John and Ryan Glick. Bobby spent over 25 years in northern California performing in clubs, retirement homes, and for various charities around the bay area. Bobby married Flori in 1992, and Madison, now 15 years old, was born in 1999.
Bobby was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in January and fought the good fight. Bobby was loved and well known both in Overland Park, Kansas, and Antioch, California. Bobby spent his adult life pursuing the joy of making music that would affect everyone. Bobby will be greatly missed by all his friends and family. Bobby is survived by his daughter, Madison Brook, mother Linda Marchi, father, Nick Marchi and John Glick, and his sister Lisa Forshey, his brother Ryan Glick, his grandfather Bob Glick, along with several Aunts and Uncles. Bobby was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Marilyn Mullican, Muriel Glick, and Italo and Virginia Marchi. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Robert J. Marchi Memorial Foundation, c/o Central Bank of the Midwest, 7840 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS 66204. All proceeds go to offset funeral and medical expenses.
