Robert Christopher (Rob) Hedden, age 43, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016.
Rob was born on July 23, 1973 in Concord, California. Moving to Kansas in 1983, Rob was active in soccer and little league but his main love was ice hockey, which he played from the age of 10 until just a few years ago.
Rob was the loving father of Jack and Tommy, beloved son of Bob and Jeannie Hedden, dear brother to Kristi Mandry (Bill) and Lindsey Pierce (Kevin). He is also survived by nephews and nieces (Mandry”s – Connor, Jacob, Mikey and Janie) and (Pierce’s _ Nicholas, Lila Kate and Sawyer)
Rob was a 1991 graduate of Blue Valley North High School. He received a BA in Sociology at UMKC and started working as a Social Worker in Kansas City, Missouri before entering the Medical Sales field.
Rob enjoyed meeting new people and cherished his close friends and family. He loved the outdoors and especially canoeing and fishing with his sons.
He will be missed by so many but will always remain that active, fun-loving guy that made him the Rob we all loved. His life was short but never dull.
Always in Our Hearts
Though you’ve passed on before us
You’re always in our hearts,
And though we’re not together
We’ll never be apart.
To lose you when you were so young
Leaves such an empty space,
Our only consolation –
You’re in a better place.
Put your arms around him Lord
And treasure him with care.
For you have in your possession
A man beyond compare.
Memorial Contributions are suggested to Children's Mercy Hospital in Memory of Rob.
