Roderick Wayne Divilbiss, age 55, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013. He was born on October 31, 1957 in Kansas City, Kansas. He is survived by his loving wife Cam Van Divilbiss of the home; mother, Phyllis Clements and stepfather Richard Clements; daughter, Mary Divilbiss; sisters, Darla Creamer and Dina Young; brother, Sean Clements (Sherrie) and nieces and nephew. Roderick was predeceased by his father Roderick William Divilbiss and infant daughter Gabriella Bernadette Divilbiss.
He graduated from high school in 1975 and entered the Air Force. Upon separation he became a police officer for 20 years with the Kansas City Missouri Police Department. He was a pioneer in developing and training the implementation of the computer system for the police department. As a independent software developer he was recognized as an authority within the IT professional community. He later started a Vietnamese restaurant, Café Song, with his wife.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at 11 am with entombment to follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Donor Services, P.O. Box, 4072 Pittsfield, MA 01202.
