Ronald "Ron" C. Chapman, 80, of Leawood, passed away in his home on Friday, December 20, 2013. Ron was born on December 28, 1932 in Long Island, NY. He has been a resident of the Kansas City area since 1953.
Ron was preceded in death by his beloved wife of fifty-eight years, Wilda Yvonne Chapman. Born from Ron and Wilda's marriage was a daughter, Renell Knight (Ralph), a son Scott Chapman (deceased) and twin sons, Todd (Brenda) and Dr. Tom (Dr. Karen). Also surviving are ten grandchildren; several cousins and their spouses and some really close friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 27th, 12- 1:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made in Ron's memory to the Humane Society, http://www.hsgkc.org/.
