ROSEMARY WRIGHT
Rosemary Wright, 92, was born October 4, 1927 in Eustace, Texas, attended Eustace High School where she was a cheerleader. She worked 20 years plus at Indian Creek Nursing Center in the Nursing Department and Medical Records.
Rosemary was a proud mother to five sons; Rick, Lon, Jerry, Bud and Kevin (deceased). Rosemary was married to Don Wright for 32 years. She was a doting grandmother to sixteen and great-grandmother to ten. She was a self-described “red-blooded REDNECK” from Texas who loved the Kansas City area and called Overland Park, Kansas, where she lived since 1963, home.
She was active with her husband Don at the Saddle and Sirloin Club. She had a lifelong love of Western Movies, especially those starring John Wayne. She also enjoyed fishing at their lake house in Linn County. She had a love of all kinds of music, and even saw the Beatles in 1964 when they were in Kansas City. She was a season ticket holder at the Starlight Theatre for many years. She was a proud 30 year season ticket holder, of the Kansas City Chiefs and fan of the Kansas City Royals. She didn’t think the Chiefs or Royals fully appreciated the support and coaching tips that Rosemary provided and her dedication to be at those games thru thick and thin seasons and weather. She enjoyed weekly lunches with great friends.
Rosemary was a life-time member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church.
